This vacation in the Loire Valley has been the perfect seguay into retirement. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, visiting historic landmarks, towns and exploring sleepy villages. There has always been something to see and do and our memories are in our pictures.

Jim and Pauline, what can we say?? You did more than just rent the accommodation. You provided so much more than information and support, you provided friendship and hospitality. Thank you so much for the wonderful dinners and outings...we will miss you!

Dear Jim & Pauline,

This trip was truly a dream come true - in 5 days we got to see the beauty of the Val de Loire thanks to all your great suggestions! The beauty here is beyond belief and a photographer's delight. Thanks for making our first visit to the Loire extremely comfortable and memorable!!

During our two weeks we saw everything ( well almost ) in a car made easily rentable by Jim & Pauline, chateaux, abbeys and the city of Tours ( easily, inexpensively and comfortably reached by local bus - 1.70 euro each way! ) Do visit 'Grand Ma's', the patisserie and the 'Prehisto' cafe in the village. We would then return to 'Les Balcons' its comfort convenience and charm - merci beaucoup Jim & Pauline
