A fact you may not be aware of is that France, with 475 courses, is not very far behind Scotland, the home of golf, in the number of opportunities to play the game. The major difference is of course the climate in which you play!

There can be no denying that a lovely day on a Scottish golf course is difficult to beat but the uncertainty of the weather adds to the challenge of most courses. France offers you the opportunity to play the game in a climate and surroundings that provide the basis of an excellent day out with less dependence on how you score (this will not apply to everyone!) and more on unwinding and enjoying the view, which will more often that not, include a chateau.

20km north of Poitiers and 15km south of Chatellerault. The 18 hole undulating course is very varied, with a first nine playing through a natural woodland with a second nine playing around the Saint-Cyr military school Lake. The large greens are well defended with water hazards and well placed bunkers.
