Chateau de Valencay
The Chateau at Valencay, built in 1540
is worth a visit
if you are returning to the Loire Valley for a second or third time
as it does not, in our opinion, come into the 'must see' category .
Geographically it
is part of the province of Berry, but externally bears heavy comparisons
with the best of the Loire Valley Renaissance chateaux.
Inside the chateau is
well furnished with elaborate pieces befitting a grand residence and
makes up for the poor (by Loire Valley chateau standards)
presentation of the grounds.
