This website was 'born' in 2006 out of the need for a 'vehicle' to advertise our  holiday home in the village of Barrou in the Southern Touraine area of Centre - Val de Loire but soon become a bit of an obsession.

We continue to try and build up the site to be the best information source for the Loire Valley here in France.

Our resources are limited - a laptop, not a great deal of computer savvy, learned by blundering on plus surfing the 'net (can be a bad idea sometimes) plus a little help from smarter people than us (Allan McHarg needs a personal mention) but we enjoy the challenge of making the Loire Valley the first choice of visitors to France.
