  • Getting here: The Loire Valley is easily accessible from anywhere in the world as the countries capital city of Paris is one of the planets most popular destinations and from there France's great transport infrastructure gets you here quickly and comfortably. From mainland Europe you can drive or take the train - both giving you many alternative routes into this beautiful part of France. From the UK the ferry ports in northern France make a convenient arrival point and are within a good driving distance of the region. Eurostar and the tunnel make rail travel the preferred option for many.                         More information here

  • Towns and villages of the Loire: The Loire Valley is  blessed with a richness of  historic towns such as Amboise, Blois, Chinon,Loches, Orléans, Saumur, and Tours on the Loire but much of its charm is in the the many sleepy picturesque villages you stumble upon as you wind your way from one scenic delight to the next.

  • Places to stay in the Loire: As such a popular destination the area has a variety of accommodation options from sumptuous chateau hotels to chambre d'hotes, France's B&B's. The gite is probably the most popular choice and has become a byword for holiday accommodation in western Europe.
