Le
Grand-Pressigny
Le Grand-Pressigny in the
Southern Touraine region of the
Loire Valley is a good
destination for your French
holiday. Slightly of the beaten
track, enough to give you a true
taste of French village life,
yet close enough to the major
attractions of both the Loire
Valley and the neighbouring
department of the Vienne.
Although in the heart of the
French countryside you can be
comforted in that you will be
welcomed by a community that has
already embraced foreign
visitors for many years.
|
The very good tourist office
in the centre of the village
provides all the information
you will need for exploring
Southern Touraine and the
rest of the Loire
Valley,they have an English
speaking advisor plus offer
access to the internet and
bicycle hire from here.
While the village's pace of
life hasn't changed much
over the years, it has today
all the amenities you need
for daily life in a rural
community.
|
Le Grand Pressigny has an
excellent Boulanger -
Patissier which is hard to
resist,plus butcher, small
'Spar' grocers, post office,

village. |

boasts two good
restaurants with
lunchtime
and evening menus to
suit most pockets. Both

alfresco dinning

here was the nicest
bloke u could ask
