Angles-sur-l'Anglin is
a
'must see' village 25 minutes from Barrou. It has the dramatic ruined cliff-top castle as a backdrop and is
acknowledged as one of the most beautiful
villages of France (‘plus
beaux villages de France’
). Its medieval streets provide very pleasant marked-out walks that provide surprises around every corner.

beautiful villages in France',(Les-plus-beaux-villages-de-France) it is indeed a very pretty place.
There is a fabulous fireworks display on the first Sunday of August with the river and castle ruins taking centre stage.
The village provides an number of eating options to cover most pockets. There is a small eating area in the heart of the village which is served
by a couple of little restaurants- ideal for
coffees. There is also a number of antique shops to wander
through or to just window shop.
This is a 'must see' village.
