Southern Touraine area of Centre - Val de Loire has
established a reputation as an ideal base for a holiday in
Central France but don't just take our word for it, check
out the comments from our
Jim & Pauline, your house is so lovely and the people of the
town we have met have been very welcoming. Thank you so much
for your wonderful suggestions for things to see - we have
had a wonderful time!
Old Walnut Mill
We have two other options for Loire Valley vacation rentals,
'The Old Walnut Mill' and 'Le Bourg', in
Barrou a small village
again in Southern Touraine to where we have
guests returning for the third and fourth time...so
we must be doing something right! Here is our
favourite quote from a returning guest: "The small village
experience' was great and made us feel part of the
landscape rather than just passing tourists."

Dear Pauline & Jim, thank you so much for your
wonderful hospitality, your invaluable
guidance/advice on where to go, what to see, where
to eat etc and especially for your invitation to the
'moules frites' night in the village which was an
unforgettable experience!!! We have gained a
fabulous insight into the beautiful rural France and
will take home lots of happy memories.
Many thanks and our very best wishes,

From 'Le Bourg' vacation rental
Thank you Jim & Pauline, we enjoyed your generous
spirited hospitality and appreciated all your
knowledgeable suggestions. The Loire region is
lovely, we enjoyed driving the quiet country roads,
the beautiful rolling farmland and the quiet
authentic little villages...and we loved 'Le Bourg'
- such a wonderful place to stay.
