Loire Valley cities towns and villages

A visit to the cities, towns and villages of the Loire Valley is a journey back in time as they retain much of the charm, character and authenticity that has attracted royal patronage over the centuries. The largest and arguably the most popular city in the region (Centre-Val de Loire) is Tours although the official 'capital' is Orleans.
